Peter Wong's practice is in immigration law.  As a Canadian immigration law practitioner, Peter has prepared and filed all types of immigration and temporary status applications.  This includes federal skilled worker, family class sponsorships (spouses and parents), business class, provincial nominations (Alberta and B.C.), and humanitarian and compassionate applications for permanent residence within Canada.  Peter's practice is responsible for the preparation and filing of work permit applications (renewals), study permit applications (renewals), temporary resident permits (criminal and medical inadmissibility), temporary resident visas (visitor's visas), rehabilitation applications (criminal inadmissibility), work visas to the United States (NAFTA (TN), and intra-company transfers (L1)).

Peter has appeared before the Federal Court of Canada, Federal Court of Appeal, Immigration and Refugee Board (Immigration Appeal Division, Immigration Division and Refugee Division), Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta, and Provincial Court of Alberta (defending Immigration prosecutions).

Education:

Peter graduated from Queen's University with an LL.B. in 1983. After completing his articles, Peter was called to the Alberta Bar in 1984. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2002.
